I’m new … first time at church?
Welcome! Below are a few bits of information to help you if you are with us for the first time so you will know what to expect from your visit.
Forder Valley Mission Community is made up of several locally-based congregations and ministries within the parish - St Edward’s Church, Eggbuckland; Christ Church, Estover; The Rock Community, Derriford.

What should I wear?
Most of our regulars choose to dress casually, but please wear whatever you feel comfortable in! For baptisms and weddings, many families and guests like to dress up to honour these special occasions.
Who should I find if I have any questions?
When you arrive at one of our services you will be greeted by our welcome team who will be based around the entrance. They’ll be able to help you any time during your visit.
What about my kids?
We try to make our services as accessible as possible for all and we would love to meet you and your children. Each service aims to have activities available for children and young people so do ask the welcome team as you enter.

How about buggies and wheelchairs?
We have tried to make our buildings as accessible as possible for buggies and wheelchair access - please check each individual venue for further details.
Are there toilets?
You will find toilets easily signposted in each building. There are accessible toilets for wheelchair users and baby change facilities available in each building too.
What can I expect during the service itself?
Each service is a little different in style, music and length - please check the venue or service page for more information
How do I get more involved?
If you feel ready to make one of our congregations your home church, please speak to the service leader or contact Rev. Tatty Wilson our vicar – they will be pleased to meet with you and discuss this further
