Welcome
Welcome to Forder Valley Mission Community – a family-loving parish and Mission Community with three active centres serving the communities of Eggbuckland, Estover, Leigham, Derriford and everywhere between! If you live in the area or are just passing through we’d love to meet you.
St Edward’s Church, Eggbuckland
Our historic parish church serving the parish for over 1000 years. We have a weekly Holy Communion service that is traditional in feel at 9.30 am on Sundays and an All Age accessible service at 11.15 monthly. It is also a popular church for Weddings, Baptisms and Funerals. We’d love to meet you.
Christ Church, Estover
Set up as a Local Ecumenical Partnership (LEP) in the 1980s, it is now our community church for the Estover, Mainstone & Thornbury areas of the parish. Sunday services are at 10.30 am. A warm and friendly welcome awaits.
The Rock Community, Plymouth
Launched in Sept 2019, The Rock Community is a Christian Community serving the new Housing estates in the Derriford and Seaton areas of the Parish. Working closely with St Matthew’s Primary & Nursery Academy we seek to reach out in new ways to serve this new community.

Worship is at the heart of the Christian Faith and Christian communities have gathered together for two thousand years to encourage and support each other in God’s presence as we seek to serve and love the communities and families we live in. We have many opportunities for worship: on Sundays as well as throughout the week; online as well as in local community Churches and congregations. You would be very warmly welcomed at any of our services.
Venue Hire
We manage three buildings that can provide community spaces in Eggbuckland, Leigham and Estover. If you would like to use these spaces for your event, family gathering or community group we would be really pleased to hear from you.

Children, Youth & Families
From Parent & Toddler groups to Accessible worship for all ages; from Youth groups to parenting courses we want to support and encourage children, young people and their families. We understand the pressures of modern family living and want to help you and your family flourish and grow in faith.
Baptisms, Christenings & Exploring faith
You can begin the journey of faith at any age and we would love to support you, as you or your family explore faith. You can get baptised in any of our congregations and we regularly run opportunities to explore the Christian faith.
